USB wired

PTP-compatible cameras connected with a USB-C (OTG) cable. Supports major makers: Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, OM System (Olympus), Pentax, Ricoh, Leica and more.

Broad support
Wi-Fi wireless

Wireless (Wi-Fi) connection works with cameras that support standard PTP/IP. Models confirmed in real use carry a Wi-Fi badge in the list, and the set keeps growing. Any camera without wireless connects right away over USB.

Badges on verified modelsMore being confirmed

Whether you connect over USB or Wi-Fi, every feature (capture, transfer, film looks) is identical.

Most cameras that support a PTP/MTP USB connection will work. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll check for you.

How It Works

Press the shutter. The rest happens on its own

  1. 01ShutterShoot the way you always do. You never have to touch the phone.
  2. 02ReceivedThe photo lands on your phone right away, over USB or Wi-Fi.
  3. 03Film appliedThe receiving pipeline bakes in the 3D LUT of the film you picked.
  4. 04Original untouchedThe film look lives only on a JPG copy. Your RAW original is never touched.

Features

From capture to color, bridged between camera and phone

296 film simulations

3D LUTs modeled on real film stocks, applied automatically to every shot. You receive the photo with the film look already baked in.

Wired USB OTG control

A rock-solid wired connection built on standard PTP. Plug in a USB-C (OTG) cable and your camera is recognized instantly.

Color transfer

Pull the color from a single reference photo you love and apply it to your own shots.

Wireless Wi-Fi tethering

Receive photos instantly over PTP/IP, no cable needed. It reconnects automatically if the link drops and keeps receiving in the background.

Smart auto-connect

Just power on your camera: CamCon discovers and reconnects it automatically via mDNS/SSDP. No setup every time.

RAW workflow

Download RAW originals (NEF and more) losslessly. The film look is applied only to a JPG copy, so your original stays untouched.

Remote Live View

Watch a real-time preview while adjusting ISO, shutter, aperture and white balance. Choose from three quality levels: speed, balance, quality.

Time-lapse Coming soon

Unattended interval shooting is in the works. For now, shots are taken one at a time with the remote shutter.

9 families, 296 film simulations

From black & white to instant and color negative: real film tone curves and color, reproduced as 3D LUTs.

Free Signature: 5 signature films, free to use

The look is baked in by the receiving pipeline the instant you shoot, and your RAW originals are never touched. PRO opens the full catalog and film + color applied together.

One photo becomes your preset

CamCon reads the color distribution out of a photo you like and moves it onto yours. Even a look that isn't in the catalog carries over from a single reference.

At 0% you get the original untouched; at 100% the color distribution matches the reference exactly. Like film, it is applied only to the JPG copy, so your RAW originals are never touched. PRO lets you run film and color together.

Two ways to connect

  1. Connect cable

Connect your phone and camera with a USB-C (OTG) cable.

  2. Allow access

Allow the USB connection permission in the app.

  3. Start shooting

Once it's recognized and connected, start shooting right away.

Permission needed: USB device access (allowed once on connection)

Connection guides by camera

The three steps above are the same on every camera, but the menus you press differ by brand. We walk through them one by one, with photos of the actual screens.

On the Nikon Z series, you must approve "Allow connection" on the camera body the first time you connect. Turn on your phone's hotspot, or make sure the camera and phone are on the same Wi-Fi router. If it still fails, turn the camera's Wi-Fi off and on again, then search again in the app.
